About these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you book with Tints & Trims, a car styling studio in Slough, Berkshire. Anything we agree with you in writing when you book, such as the work, the price and the date, forms part of these terms. If you have a question about them, email info@tintsntrims.co.uk or call 07301 910262.
Using this website
- The information on this website is a general guide to our services. We keep it up to date, but always confirm the details for your car before you book.
- Photos and videos on this website show work we have carried out. Finishes, colours and materials can look different on screen and from car to car.
- The content of this website, including photos, videos, text and our logo, belongs to us. Please don't copy or reuse it without our permission.
- Links to other websites, such as Instagram or WhatsApp, are for your convenience. We aren't responsible for their content.
Prices and quotes
- Our quotes are based on what you tell us about your car and the work you want. We agree a fixed price with you before you book.
- If, when we see your car, it needs something we didn't know about, such as damaged paint or a different size of panel, we'll explain why and agree any change with you before doing the work. We won't charge you more without your agreement.
- Package prices are shown on our packages page. Packages marked "coming soon" aren't available to book yet.
- Any offer or promotion has the terms stated with it, and can't be combined with another offer unless it says so.
Bookings
- We work from a private studio by appointment only. We share the address once your booking is confirmed.
- Any deposit, payment and cancellation arrangements are confirmed with you in writing when you book.
- Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to change or cancel your appointment, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Your car
- Please tell us about any existing damage, repairs, resprayed panels or aftermarket parts before we start, as these can affect how materials bond and how long they last.
- We check your car with you when you drop it off and when you collect it.
- Please remove valuables and personal items before your appointment.
- We're fully insured while your car is in our care.
Window tint and the law
In the UK the windscreen must let through at least 75% of light and the front side windows at least 70%. Rear windows can be any darkness. We will only fit tint to the windscreen and front side windows within these limits. If you ask for something that wouldn't be legal, we'll tell you before fitting.
Wraps and paint
Wrap film applied to good, original factory paint can usually be removed later without damaging it. Paint that has been resprayed, repaired, chipped or has a weak lacquer is more likely to lift or be damaged when film is removed. We'll check your paint and tell you honestly before we start. If a wrap changes the main colour of your car, you're responsible for updating the colour with the DVLA and telling your insurer.
Our Perfection Promise
If a finish isn't right because of our work, such as a lifted edge, a mismatched panel or anything down to how we installed it, we'll put it right at no extra cost. Please tell us as soon as you notice a problem. The promise covers our workmanship. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage or damage caused after collection.
Your legal rights
We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. If something isn't right, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these terms affects them. Citizens Advice can explain your rights at citizensadvice.org.uk.
Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Your information
How we use your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
Law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one on this page when you book.
